In Myanmar (Burma), annual Taunggyi Hotair Balloon Festival and contest occur each year between 27th October and 1st November (During fullmoon day of the Myanmar calendar month Tazaungmone).
It is really exciting to watch those decorative hot air paper balloons made up of bamboo and Shan paper (Mulberry paper). These paper balloons also carry up to 50kg of explosives.
Just look at this video where one such balloon crashes over the head of 10,000 spectators.
