The world’s largest captive crocodile “Lolong” is no more. Bunawan, a small town in southern Philippines, gone into mourning after Lolong was finally declared dead by Alexander Collantes, a veterinarian from the Davao Crocodile Farm.
Lolong was captured in Agusan Marsh, a protected area in Agusan del Sur, by Mayor Edwin Cox Elorde on 3rd September 2011. Since then the huge reptile measuring more than 20 feet long and weighted about 1 ton became an attraction for tourists as well as the source of revenue for the small town Bunawan.
