Today is the 69th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. Once a year on 1st of August, the city of Warsaw stands still for one minute. To mark the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising, the capital city of Poland freezes for a full one minute and its residents pay homage to their lost heroes who fought to liberate Warsaw from Germany’s Nazi forces during Second World War. In 1944, around 20000 lives have been killed during Nazi reign.
